Mud Run Tips
So you want some MUD? You can't HANDLE the MUD! Well, perhaps you can. If so, here are some tips on how to make the most out of your Mud Run experience:
- Wear tight clothes that doesn't retain much water.
- Try to wear clothes without pockets (collects mud :)
- Use your old running shoes. (they get trashed).
- Double tie your running shoes hard (or lose them).
- Wear ankle socks.
- Remove any jewelry before the race.
- Wear a sunblock that is waterproof.
- Bring a large plastic bag (for muddy clothes).
- Wash your eyes and ears thoroughly after the race.
- Bring clean clothes to change into after the race.
- Bring flip flops to wear after the race.
- Bring some towels.
- You might want to put some seat covers in your car.
As far as clothes you can wear other things as well. Wear a suit and tie, or a large mascot costume. However, temporarily store your viking helmet in a secure location because it tends to get tangled up in things.
